The Swedish Bankers' Association, Standards, works to simplify the introduction and implementation of financial EDI in the chain of communication between banks and their clients, as well as between banks. This will enable banks to better meet market demands, rationalise the multiplicity of standards, and offer new services that increase efficiency between parties in the area of electronic business communication.

We focus on:

• defining, developing, co-ordinating, maintaining and disseminating implementation guidelines for financial EDIFACT and XML
• the establishment of global standards through collaboration in national and international standardisation and coordination work
• informing and educating the bank sector with regard to financial EDI

Standards serves as a shared platform for established banks in Sweden and  provides Swedish implementation of global standards for financial EDI messages.
